2 Days Berber Villages Trek Azzaden Valley This easy trek begins in Imlil, and includes a beautiful walk through the Juniper trees of the Atlas Valley. Azaden Valley is home to a dramatic waterfall, the highest in Toubkal National Park. Both nights will be spent in a Berber guesthouse for an opportunity to experience their culture. This trek is suitable for people of all ages.

 

Day 1: Marrakech - Imlil - Tizi Mzik-Tamsoulte waterfalls - Tizi Oussem village

This tour begins in Marrakech with a car journey towards the high Atlas Mountains via Ouede Ghighaya that has stunning views of the Berber villages along the road. Arrive at Imlil and meet your guide & multeer and break briefly for Mint Tea to get acquainted. Then, begin the trek to climb Tizi Mzik pass, through juniper forest and spectacular view over Imlil valley & Tazaghart Summit. From there, continue to Tamsoulte to visit the highest waterfalls in the Atlas Mountains and break for lunch. Afterwards, we trek to the Azzaden valley and Tizi Oussem village, where we stay overnight at a Berber Guesthouse.

Day 2 : Azzaden Valley to Marrakech

After breakfast you walk down through the Azzaden valley to the village of Aid Aissa from where the path takes you over the Tizi-n-Oudit mountain pass (2219m) and back down to the village of Mattat where lunch is waiting for you. After another hour you reach the car and while you recover from the 5-6 hour walk, the driver safely takes you back to Marrakech
